You must have heard about business intelligence (BI) and the role it can play in business? Maybe you’ve talked about it with others in the industry? Perhaps it’s left you wondering whether you should be looking at business intelligence software and how it could help you make more informed decisions …
So what’s BI data mangement all about?
Well, BI is an automated software system that goes much further than just delivering reports. It provides accurate and comprehensive business data within a dependable structure, so you can make more effective decisions faster, eliminating guesswork. You can use BI software for applications ranging from increasing productivity and forecasting to eradicating wasteful processes.
From a marketing perspective, there are major benefits. It can give you insights into markets, competitors, your performance in relation to these, and help you get ahead in your sector. Understanding customer behaviour and preferences better, you can use the information to retain clients longer. Your sales team can upsell and cross-sell more effectively. You can also identify potential opportunities, such as customers who’ll deliver more profit to the bottom line. You can use your BI data to segment and communicate with your customers on a very personal level and measure A/B tests.
Cost-effective and easy to use
Using BI affords insights into overall business performance, enabling you to pinpoint areas needing attention. This can enable you to focus spending and cut costs by measuring and analysing the KPIs in your business on a continuous basis. BI reporting & automation means there is no internal headcount cost in getting the data from your systems to complete regular management reports. Instead, an automated BI solution provides the information you need in real time any time on any device.
Bi reporting tools are easy to use, even without technical knowledge. Business intelligence systems enable huge efficiencies: the software is centrally aligned – data is consolidated from different sources and everything is accessed from a single dashboard. Any team member can access the dashboard and view data from smartphones or other devices.
Up and running in 30 days
Sounds great, doesn’t it? So what’s involved in getting BI into your business? Well, the good news is that Ddaas can get your business up and running with business intelligence reporting tools in just 30 days! Often the sting in the tail when introducing new systems is the upheaval and interruption to your business they cause, but you won’t experience this with Ddaas on board.
This is how we’ll work with you -
1 Creating the plan
We’ll manage the project iteratively, so you see value sooner. In week 1, we’ll agree the initial data source, identify any necessary enrichment or cleansing and define transfer type and frequency. This can be a file feed or a protocol that helps us create building blocks. For your IT people, it’s a light-touch process. In week 1, we’ll also agree other data transfers, list users sending data and users accessing processed data.
We’ll start transferring data in week 2. Our servers are highly secure and the systems automated 24/7, so the process will be smooth. The transfer involves moving protected files to our cloud-based platform or integration via a secure application programming interface (API), bespoke to your needs. Each set of data is handled the same way, with our team beside you throughout.
In week 3, we’ll start joining the dots across your data sets, so you receive actionable insights from multiple data sources. Having a business intelligence platform means you can do things like measure a Google Adwords campaign, combining Google data with sales data to give lifetime value and revenue per acquisition.
By week 4 you should be able to see interactive business intelligence reports from an amalgamation of the multiple data sources. These reports update automatically when new data arrives - vital for business decision-making.
We’ll continue working with you …
At the end of 30 days, we’ll continue enhancing data feeds, integrating and visualising. We add value by identifying new perspectives, new actions that enable you to gain more insights and more value from your data. Working with Ddaas, you get a people-led service with complete support all the way.
